The European Academy of Diplomacy (EAD) is the first non-governmental, non-for-profit diplomatic academy in Europe, with a mission of shaping, sharpening and inspiring a new generation of enlightened international leaders.
Since its inception in 2004 and with over 10,000 graduates from more than 120 countries, EAD offers the highest quality tailor-made programs at graduate, post-graduate and executive levels. The Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD)
The Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD) is a top-tier postgraduate diplomatic Program, which empowers a new generation of global leaders, through an innovative year-long training experience, ending with an Executive Diploma in the Art of Diplomacy (EDAD).
Established in 2004, the AYD prepares future diplomats, civil servants and social entrepreneurs for international careers. The Program is known for its world-class faculty, practitioners-oriented approach and a network of more than 3000 graduates from over 60 countries.
A selected cohort of approximately 120 promising talents from around the world will take part in over 140 hours of lectures, workshops, practical exercises, study-visits, leadership development groups and networking. In the academic year 2024/2025 the program will be conducted in a hybrid format – with 4 online sessions and 4 in-person sessions organised in Warsaw.

Easy Scholarship Applications
Scholarships are available to interested people that want to pursue a career in diplomacy. Qualification is easy:
- Obtain a letter of recommendation from your embassy or department of foreign affairs recommending your consideration for the the Diplomacy Ireland – European Diplomat 2024 Scholarship Programme;
- Submit your Curriculum Vitae;
- Send your CV along with a motivation letter;
- Attach two (2) letters of recommendation;
- Write a 500-word essay about the importance of diplomacy and/or your desire to pursue a career as a diplomat;
- Submit all via email (PDF format) to: diplomacyireland@gmail.com
Notification of Scholarship Award
All successful applicants will receive notification of the scholarship determination within 15-days of submission.
