Sheol Thomas Byrne T.D., an tAire Stáit do Ghnóthaí Eorpacha, “Gairm san AE” inniu, Straitéis na hÉireann chun ionadaíocht na hÉireann in Institiúidí agus Gníomhaireachtaí an Aontais Eorpaigh a mhéadú.

Dúirt an tAire:

“Tá ríméad orm an straitéis thábhachtach seo a sheoladh inniu agus ceann de na príomhghealltanais a tugadh i gClár an Rialtais a chur i gcrích. Leagtar amach in “Gairm san AE” na bearta a ghlacfaimid le cinntiú go leanfaidh tionchar na hÉireann laistigh d’institiúidí an Aontais sna blianta amach romhainn.

Is mian linn a chinntiú go leanfaidh saoránaigh na hÉireann ar aghaidh ag freastal ar institiúidí an Aontais. Má dhéantar sin, beidh siad i gcroílár na hEorpa, agus múnlóidh siad todhchaí ár nAontais comhroinnte.”

Sa straitéis nua tá gníomhartha a bhfuil sé mar aidhm acu líon na n-oifigeach Éireannach i róil bhuana agus i róil shealadacha laistigh d’Institiúidí an Aontais a mhéadú go suntasach.

Tá “Gairm san AE” á sheoladh ag am a bhfuil ionadaíocht na hÉireann i measc fhoirne na n-institiúidí Eorpacha faoi bhagairt toisc “aill dhéimeagrafach”, mar a thugtar uirthi, i bhfianaise go rachaidh cuid mhaith d’oifigigh shinsearacha na hÉireann ar scor roimh i bhfad.  Cé go bhfuil ionadaíocht na hÉireann leordhóthanach ar fud na bhfoirne in institiúidí an Aontais faoi láthair, tá líon a hoifigigh atá tar éis tosú sna hinstitiúidí agus iad siúd a bhfuil ról meánbhainistíochta acu níos lú ná mar ba ghnách.

Is aidhm don straitéis nua feasacht a ardú in Éirinn maidir le gairmréimeanna san Aontas Eorpach i ngach réimse agus líon na n-Éireannach atá ag cur isteach ar na poist in institiúidí AE a ardú. Tabharfar tacaíocht fheabhsaithe agus spriocdhírithe d’iarrthóirí Éireannacha atá ag ullmhú le haghaidh comórtais do phoist AE mar thoradh uirthi freisin.

Má tá suim agat sa straitéis a léamh agus tuilleadh eolais a fháil faoi na tacaíochtaí a sholáthraítear d’iarrthóirí Éireannacha ar phoist AE, is féidir níos mó a fhoghlaim ag: www.dfa.ie/eujobs

CRÍOCH
Preasoifig

Nóta d’eagarthóirí:

“Gairm san AE”

Is é aidhm don Straitéis nua “Gairm san AE” an líon Éireannach a dhéanann iarratas ar róil in Institiúidí an Aontais Eorpaigh, agus a n-éiríonn leo, a mhéadú.

Tá na príomhbhearta seo a leanas sa straitéis:

  • An feachtas faisnéise atá ann faoi láthair faoi phoist leis an Aontas Eorpach a mhéadú, tuilleadh bolscaireachta agus for-rochtana do mhic léinn dara agus tríú leibhéal san áireamh.
  • Tacaíocht agus oiliúint shaincheaptha a chur ar fáil do gach iarrthóir Éireannach a chuireann isteach ar phoist in Institiúidí an Aontais.
  • Acmhainní breise a chur ar fáil atá tiomanta do thacú le húsáid na Gaeilge mar theanga oifigiúil de chuid an Aontais, ábhar oiliúna a chur ar fáil as Gaeilge san áireamh.
  • An maoiniú le haghaidh na Scéime Lármhaoinithe le haghaidh Saineolaithe Náisiúnta ar Iasacht a mhéadú chun gur féidir 50 státseirbhíseach Éireannach a thabhairt ar iasacht d’Institiúidí AE gach bliain, i gcomparáid leis na 24 státseirbhíseach a thugtar faoi láthair.
  • An clár reatha scoláireachta a leathnú, chun gur féidir le 10 mac léinn Éireannach iarchéime, ar a laghad, staidéar a dhéanamh ag Coláiste na hEorpa in Brugge agus Natolin.
  • Sruth a chruthú laistigh de státseirbhís na hÉireann le haghaidh speisialtóirí AE, a dtabharfar cúnamh dóibh agus iad ag cur isteach ar phoist le hinstitiúidí an Aontais.

Tá téacs iomlán na straitéise (foilsithe ar an 6 Bealtaine 2021) ar fáil ag: www.dfa.ie/eujobs
