The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Simon Coveney, TD, arrives in London this afternoon for a programme of bilateral engagements. The programme will include discussions on recent developments in Northern Ireland, on British-Irish and EU-UK relations and the implementation of the Ireland/Northern Ireland Protocol, and on foreign policy issues, in the context of Ireland’s membership of the Security Council.
His programme over Wednesday and Thursday, will include meetings with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Dominic Raab, MP, a joint meeting with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Brandon Lewis, MP, and Minister of State at the Cabinet Office, Lord Frost, as well as a meeting with Leader of the Opposition, Sir Keir Starmer, MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Louise Haigh, MP and Shadow Foreign Secretary, Lisa Nandy, MP.
